slow running

through this life i try to run
but i only stumble along
my legs wont carry me
as fast as i'd like
im trying to grow up
but i am still young
now on down the road
i have fallen down
and i lay here in a rut
and i cant get up
my life was wasted away
trying to grow older
until i grew too old
i wish i were young
